BlueRain Development Is Back

BlueRain Development is active again

After a quieter period, BlueRain Development is moving forward again. Over the past few months, we’ve been rebuilding a lot of the studio from the ground up. That includes our website, internal tools, community systems, and most importantly, our games.

Mimic Mayhem has returned to active development and recently entered Alpha testing, giving us the chance to bring in new players, gather feedback, and start improving the game at a much faster pace.

A rebuilt BlueRain website

One of the biggest changes is the new BlueRain website.

The site has been redesigned to better represent the studio and give us a proper place to share updates, showcase projects, manage applications, highlight contributors, and publish development news.

The new newsroom will be where we post major updates, development blogs, playtest recaps, and studio announcements.

A renewed focus on Mimic Mayhem

Mimic Mayhem is currently our main focus. The first public Alpha gave us a much clearer idea of what works, what needs improvement, and what players want to see next.

We’re now focused on improving onboarding, balance, mobile controls, round reliability, UI, gameplay polish, and future content.

There is still a lot we want to improve, but development is moving forward consistently again.

More than one project

BlueRain has always been about more than a single game.

While Mimic Mayhem is our current priority, we also plan to continue experimenting with new projects, systems, and ideas as the studio grows.

Not every project will become a full release, but we want BlueRain to remain a place where we can build, test, and improve new experiences.

Looking ahead

This is a fresh start for BlueRain Development.

We have a better foundation, a more active development process, and a clearer direction for the studio than we’ve had in a long time.

There is still a lot of work ahead, but we’re excited to start sharing more of that work publicly.

Thanks to everyone who has supported BlueRain, played our games, joined the community, or followed the studio over the years.

There’s a lot more coming.
