Better ways to stay connected
We have introduced two new systems across BlueRain Development designed to make it easier to stay informed and see what is happening behind the scenes.
BlueRain Status provides a live look at the health of our core services, while the new notification system gives users control over the updates they want to receive.
Together, they give the community a much clearer view of BlueRain and the systems powering it.
BlueRain Status
The new BlueRain Status page automatically monitors several of our core services. This includes the BlueRain website, Discord bot, database, Discord connection, Roblox API, and game services.
Each service can report whether it is operational, experiencing degraded performance, under maintenance, or offline. The page also includes information such as response times, recent availability, and the last time each service was checked. Our Discord status panel uses the same monitoring system, giving users a quick overview without needing to visit the website.
The goal is simple: if something is not working, you should be able to see that without wondering whether the problem is on your end.
You can view the live status page at: https://blueraindev.com/status
Automatic monitoring
The status system does not rely entirely on someone manually updating it.
BlueRain continuously performs health checks on its services and updates their status automatically when something stops responding or begins experiencing issues.
This also helps us catch problems earlier and gives our team a better picture of how BlueRain services are performing over time.
During planned updates or maintenance, staff can also mark services accordingly so users know downtime is expected.
BlueRain Notifications
We have also added a new notification system to BlueRain accounts.
Users with a linked Discord account can choose which types of updates they want to receive directly through Discord.
Current notification options include news and studio updates, upcoming playtests or events, and other important BlueRain activity.
Notifications are completely optional, and users can enable or disable individual categories at any time from their account dashboard.
More useful Discord notifications
We wanted notifications to feel more useful than a basic message saying something happened. Notifications are designed around the type of update being sent.
New articles can include the article image, title, summary, and a direct button to read the full post. Playtest notifications can include scheduling information, testing details, and a direct link to the relevant page. Other notification types use their own layouts and information depending on what is being announced.
Building a better foundation
A lot of our recent work has focused on the systems surrounding our games, not just the games themselves.
Status monitoring, notifications, the new website, account systems, news publishing, applications, and internal staff tools are all part of building a stronger foundation for BlueRain.
These systems will continue to grow alongside Mimic Mayhem and future BlueRain projects.
Thanks for continuing to follow the studio as we keep building.
